I believe most all of 1976-77 Waltons episodes have CBS promos for the Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour and short-lived shows such as Hunter and Code R, but I do not believe there are regular commercials other than the network promos. are still intact or just CBS newsbreaks are left intact.**** Also in a lot of cases the Waltons episodes have the regular commercials edited out, however either the CBS network promos for shows like Incredible Hulk, Wonder Woman, Dallas, Dukes, WKRP, Jeffersons, etc.

will follow the shows or bits and pieces of other Waltons episodes and other shows and specials from that era will follow an episode which means a previous episode was taped over so you see the beginnings and endings of other episodes (some shows on other networks like 1976 Movin On' NBC summer airings or the short-lived NBC series The Oregon Trail) that follow a lot of these Waltons shows.

intact, in some cases a few minutes of Hawaii 5-0, Barnaby Jones, etc. We don't see Esther at all except for a brief Imagine Spot, in which Zeb remembers dancing with her after rescuing a stained glass window she treasured from the Whitley House (from the Season 4 episode "The House"), because her actor is still recuperating from her stroke.***Please note on my Waltons episodes I own the original beta master tapes and some episodes have all original commercials, promos, CBS newsbreaks, etc. The fact that it was written by the most people ever working in collaboration on a single story on the show is a testament to how difficult and intense it was to produce this one episode note Teleplay by: Claire Whitaker & Rod Peterson Story by: Katharyn Michaelian Powers and Claire Whitaker & Rod Peterson, and the Bittersweet Ending doesn't really help.

It takes a long time for them to come together again and move forward. Elizabeth, whose pet butterfly died the morning of the fire, believes that everything she loves eventually gets destroyed. Jason stays with the Baldwin sisters, who dote on him and give him fine clothes, and Olivia is upset because she feels like they're changing her son. Erin feels guilty for saving her favorite party dress, because she fell in the process and John-Boy was unable to save his novel because he saved her she overcompensates for what she feels is her sinful vanity, turning preachy and solemn. All of the children except John-Boy are sent to stay with various neighbors while the reconstruction takes place, leaving Olivia depressed because she misses her family. Both John-Boy and Grandpa blame themselves because they each suspect they are at fault for the fire - Grandpa left his space heater running in the bathroom, and John-Boy had been smoking a pipe. The house burns, and while they don't lose everything, they lose quite a bit.
